We added the ability to upload documents that are MS Office 2007 files (and more) in the Companies, Contacts, Personnel, Projects, and Knowledge Management modules.  New file extensions added are: dot, docx, dotx, pptx, potx, ppsx, xlsx, xltx, avi, pmd, pst, and rtf.

We also added a mass uploader to the Contact Manager: Opportunities module.  This feature allows you to quickly upload multiple documents to Opportunity records at one time (PC only). Simply click the “Add” button in the Documents area of an Opportunity record and the new mass upload window will open. We’ll be adding this feature to other modules and areas over time.

Q. I want to assign a fixed win probability to an opportunity (rather than the win probability changing each time the opportunity’s stage changes).  Can I do this in Cosential?

A.  Yes!  Use the Static Win option.  The Cosential database can use one of two fields for the Win Probability field:

·      A win field controlled by stage (default database field): the value changes when the opportunity’s stage is changed (the default database field).  This value is determined by the Probability Percentage as set in: Administration: Value Lists: Opportunity Stages: Probability Percentage.

·      A static win field:  a value entered in this field will not change when the opportunity’s stage is changed.  Setting up the Static Win Option is described in this document faq0286staticwin.

Whichever field is selected is the one that the database will use for the Win Probability field:  it will be displayed in the interface, queried in the reporting engine, and used in the Factored Fee calculation (Factored Fee=Firm Fee x Project Probability x Win Probability).
